If I were President for a day, here's what I'd do and this is what I'd say
If I were President for a while, here's what I'd do in my Presidential style
My fellow Americans,
I would work with problem-free people
and if people have too many problems, I'd try to work it out
I'd try to negotiate with 'em
I would tax the rich and give the money to you! tax-free
No more drugs, just prescription ones
Vote for me, and I'll give you freedom of speech
and freedom of everything else
I'll give you tax free days
Everything is not just money
I'd work with more cooperation than there is corporation
Vote for me and I'll give you all your answers
Whatever happens, happens,
I'd have security all around America.
I'm talking about all the states
North Carolina, New Jersey, New City, Boston, California, L.A., New Mexico...
March with me! All nations, follow my path... to victory!
No more falsehoods, no more lies, no more allies
You are not a baby! Be more grown up! BE MORE GROWN UP!
I will try to believe what I want to believe
Yeah! Deliver yourself up with hope
And come with me and we will be
Rise up and march with me and come with me
I will carry that emotion 'til we are free at last
Equality, hope and lift up your voice
You can do it! We can do it!
I am the commander in chief... hehehe

Janet's family is deeply fascinated by politics, often arguing about some tiny minutae of liberal politics in America. Janet often muses about what she'd do if she was in charge. Todd wrote this song and developed the prompt to elicit her ideas and how she'd relate to the electorate. Particularly amazing is her excited truthin' in the last verse where she exhorts the masses to "Rise up and march with me!"
She gets my vote.
