Fantasy and reality, attached at the hip, attached at the heart
Fantasy and reality, together
Fantasy and reality, we need both
'cause you can't have one without the other
Fantasy needs reality, reality needs fantasy, they need each other
Like Siamese twins, like co-joined twins
attached at the hip, attached at the heart
attached at the hip, attached at the heart
(somewhere in between)
attached at the hip, attached at the hip
Maybe a fantasy trip... like going on a Disney cruise
or maybe a plane ride to L.A.
Catch a movie or something? Like a matinee?
Maybe get some popcorn and drinks?
And maybe like a boyfriend, or a girlfriend
But what I want to do, is tell it like it is
It's time to really shake up something
Well, mostly what I like is such things as:
Unicorns (uppity), tigers, the Loch Ness monster, spiders, dragons and sasquatch,
dinosaurs, animals that eat a lot of meat
they need each other...
Like siamese twins, like co-joined twins
attached at the hip, attached at the heart
attached at the hip, attached at the heart
attached at the hip, attached at the hip
attached to the brain...
Feel it, feel the reality, love the fantasy...

Janet often reminds herself of the important distinction between fantasy and reality. This song was written to explore the contrasts and similarities between the two. Dan Davis and his frequent co-conspirator, Scott Warren lay down a fierce rhythm, while Todd put the growly, jingly keyboards atop it all. And the backup singers reinforce the message.
